The French
Federation of wholesale markets is an active member of the World
Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM), a non-profit organisation that
has existed since 1958 to ensure the effective promotion of
wholesale markets internationally. WUWM aims to promote the
international exchange of information on wholesale markets, with a
view to improving their construction, organisation and management.
WUWM chairman since 2001, Mr Marc SPIELREIN,
is
also chairman of the Paris – Rungis wholesale market and one of the
director of FFMIN.
Within WUWM, FFMIN actively participates in many technical
commissions, in particular in the following items
